I did replaced my USB MJ PC connector with one that doesn't need a PC and during setup it asked me if I wanted a new number or if I wanted to use an existing one. So, I think you should be fine by following the prompts to select your current number. I know is a pain not to talk to a real person with dealing with MJ support. I hope it works for you as smoothly as it did for me. Good luck.
